Confluence
Version 1.0 · Last updated 2026-08-10
Context
Confluence is Atlassian’s team workspace and wiki, where organizations document projects, processes, and product knowledge. It is widely used alongside Jira, and is one of the most common enterprise knowledge bases.
With Unless, those pages flow into Living Knowledge, the engine that keeps your business knowledge current, and become grounding data your agent answers from, while a public Help Center publishes on autopilot.
Plenty of teams already treat Confluence as their de facto help center, even though it was built for internal documentation, not customers. Living Knowledge is what makes that official: it combines your Confluence space with the tickets your team logs in Jira and everything else you connect, into one Help Center that’s actually meant to be searched from outside the company, not just from inside it.
Key benefits
- Better data quality: Unless ingests the page content itself, not the sidebar of linked Jira tickets and space navigation that surrounds it in Confluence.
- Always current: Confluence pages change constantly as processes get updated and tickets get resolved; Living Knowledge follows those edits, so the agent never answers from a process your team has since revised.
How does it work?
Unless pulls pages from Confluence into Living Knowledge just like it does your other sources, where they become grounding data for your AI customer agent and feed the public Help Center embedded in it.
Install instructions
Once at the Integrations tab of your Unless dashboard, you can select “Configure” for the Confluence integration. This will open a popup where you can connect your Confluence account and set up the integration. Once the integration is active, you’ll find a new “Add Confluence documents” option in the “Add training source” dropdown in the AI zone.
