Context

BookStack is a free, open-source, self-hosted wiki platform built on the Laravel framework. It is used by teams that want a self-hosted knowledge base, and is known for its simple Shelves, Books, Chapters, and Pages structure.

With Unless, that Shelves-Books-Chapters-Pages structure gets flattened into Living Knowledge, the engine that keeps your business knowledge current: pages arrive as grounding data and a public Help Center publishes on autopilot, so a wiki built for your own team can also answer your customers.

A self-hosted wiki like BookStack has no built-in help center to fall back on: pages get written and edited directly by whoever maintains them, with no separate publishing step. Living Knowledge is what turns those pages into something customers can search, and combines them with everything else you connect, from tickets to your website, into one Help Center instead of a private wiki only your team can read.

How does it work?

Every BookStack page Unless pulls in becomes grounding data inside Living Knowledge, ready for your AI customer agent and the public Help Center embedded in it.

Install instructions

Once at the Integrations tab of your Unless dashboard, you can select “Configure” for the Bookstack integration. This will open a popup where you can connect your Bookstack account and set up the integration. Once the integration is active, you’ll find a new “Add Bookstack documents” option in the “Add training source” dropdown in the AI zone.
